Noise reveals the background from which every digital image emerges. Thermal motion, quantum effects, and statistical fluctuations become visible before a subject obscures them. The image before the image.

About the Series
Technically, “noise” refers to the fluctuation inherent in every sensor. Culturally, it stands for the constant stream of news, advertising, and visual media that overlays perception and fragments attention. The series captures both of these aspects within a single plane: dense, vibrating fields in which repetition and deviation intertwine. It is no longer the individual image that matters, but rather frequency and repetition. The noise soothes by exhausting.
“Sensor noise functions as an ontological background, as a matrix from which visual structure emerges.”
